Below are list of commonly used terms in game. Game genres and each game individually tend to develop a specific (and often times obscure) language of its own.
Here is your key to the lexicon of Hero Realms.
- Aggro
A set strategy of buying damage cards only, aka an Aggressive approach. Typically drafting many low cost damage cards in order to "rush" the win to as few turns as possible.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"That Fighter played a mean aggro game, I didn't even have time to draw and use the Torgen Rocksplitter I purchased."- Annihilation
When a life total at the end of the game is -25 or more, the losing player has been annihilated.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"Wow, are you going for that overkill on me? Is that why this is taking so long? Oh wait, oh man, annihilation... GG."- Bomb
Any high cost, big effect cards on the Market Row. Typically take alot of RNG or a committed build into economy to be able to purchase
Can you use it in a sentence?
"Fire Bomb is literally a bomb. Well named WWG."- Bottom Deck
Receiving value of the cards remaining at the end of the deck when you are forced to reshuffle and thus get the value of those remaining cards Only Once between two "Decks".
Can you use it in a sentence?
"I bottom decked my sacrifice cards again!!!"- Butt
The defense value of a Champion. E.G. Parov, The Enforcer has 5 defense or 5 "butt".
Can you use it in a sentence?
"I like big butts and I cannot lie."- Cycle
Drawing and discarding a card per a card effect like Elven Gift or Rampage.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"I was cycling really hard on that last game. I knew I needed to outpace my opponent to win."- Deck
All the cards available to draw after shuffling. Each shuffle starts a "new deck" including the starter cards and what has been purchased from the market row, minus anything sacrificed or currently in play at the time of the shuffle.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"A deck 1 sacrifice card for Cleric is a huge benefit to their long game strategy."- Dude Wall
When someone has enough champions out that their opponent will not be able to apply damage to their health pool (only against their champions). Especially when lasting multiple turns in a row.
Can you use it in a sentence?
Darwin. "It's a wall of dudes. A DUDE WALL!"- Eat Cheap
Intentionally purchasing a Firegem or a low cost card on the market row with the express intention of sacrificing for additional damage via Lys The Unseen or Krythos Master Vampire.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"I was just shy of lethal and then I realized I had two gold hanging and a Lys in play. It was time to eat cheap."- Fishing
Purchasing low cost cards from the Market Row in the hopes of revealing a card worth purchasing for your deck. Typically only done when you are in a "losing position" in comparison to your opponent.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"The Row was trash, but I had to go fishing if I was going to have any chance of winning that one."- The Flip
The moment when any draw triggers a reshuffle of the deck. This is a key Game State to watch for and manipulate to maximize the effectiveness of all things purchased.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"I purchased some additional cards before I flipped the deck with my Arkus."- Hate Draft
AKA "Counter Drafting" - Intentionally purchasing a card that is more valuable for your opponent's deck composition than that card is for enhancing your own deck composition.

"That Spark wasn't really going to help me much, but my opponent had so much green I had to hate draft it."- Kachiko
A legendary thief who was accidentally deleted during a prestige-reset attempt.

Legend is used in two contexts:
1) IRL competitive vanilla character tournaments hosted by WWG in which the winner receives a card in a future expansion featuring their likeness.
2) The winners of said tournament.Can you use it in a sentence?
"Yo, did you know Birdlaw is a Double Legend? He took Legends twice playing Ranger."- Lethal
The game state where the amount a damage a player has is enough to end the game.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"Lethal is nice, but there is no kill like an overkill."- Logvin's Law
"Track early, track often". This refers specifically to Birdlaw's Ranger advice that you upgrade track to Instinctive Track as heard on episode 7.
Can you use it in a sentence?
Me: "I'm terrible with Ranger. I just can't figure it out."
Someone much more skilled than me: "Well are you using Logvin's Law?"
Me: "Well...."- Meta
The current and/or popular state of gameplay. This may refer to a particular hero build, purchase decisions, etc.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"This Fighter meta is really hard to compete with as a Wizard."- Mirror Match
A game where the same Hero is playing against each other. A "Full Mirror" is when the exact same Skill Upgrades and Upgraded Cards are being used by both players.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"Man those Cleric mirror matches take forever. I hit fatigue rounds every other time it happens."- Overkill
Taking the time on a winning turn to stack as much damage up as possible to drive your opponents life total beyond zero. Knowingly being able to end the game, yet piling the damage on so everyone know how much of a boss you are. I mean nerd. How much of nerd you are.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"Lets light the chat up team, get those emotes ready... OVERKILL"- NonShizWiz
A wizard that is not a shizzard.
Can you use it in a sentence?
NonShizWiz builds often lack the healing to survive aggro assaults.- Pilot
The actual human, behind the Hero, playing the game. Give two people the exact same Hero with the exact same upgrades, and you will have two different Pilots.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"Player X is an insanely good Cleric pilot."- Realms Walker
A competitor who has won a Legends in both Hero Realms and Star Realms, effectively making them total badasses.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"You know how Blade is a Day Walker? That dude has nothing on our Realms Walkers. Way cooler.- RNG
Random Number Generator. This refers to the uncontrollable randomness that is a piece of every deck builder. Things like your draw, your opponent's draw, the market row flip, choosing upgrade items all have a strong component of RNG.

"%$ing RNG!!!"- Shizzard
A shizzard is a wizard that uses serene channel.
Can you use it in a sentence?
Shizzards rely on spamming serene channel to survive.- Squaring the Deck
Purchasing an even number of cards so that you do not "bottom deck" any of your cards. This is done in order to maximize the value of purchased cards and control "the flip".
Can you use it in a sentence?
"I squared my deck when I bought the Fire Gem. I needed to make sure I didn't bottom deck my Domination."- Throwin a Sammi
Getting lethal damage and winning by sacrificing a Fire Gem. First coined in stream after hearing episode 5 of the Realms Rising Podcast, where the First Realms Walker, Sammi Hintz, described mass purchasing Fire Gems as a competitive level strategy with her Fighter.
Can you use it in a sentence?
No. But, side note: In Beta-era Digital Hero Realms, only purchasing Fire Gems and nothing else became a top tier Fighter strategy for a period of time. Coincidentally (?) right after Ep. 5 launched.- Turtle
A set strategy of building a wall of champions that cannot be broken in a single turn by an opponent.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"That Cleric went full turtle, so I used Fireball to wipe their wall."- Whiff
Drawing the exact hand of cards that you did not want and not being able to take advantage of anything significant on your turn.
Can you use it in a sentence?
"My opponent was at 1 life, and somehow I drew 4 gold and a Tithe Priest. Totally whiffed it bruh..."- Wiz-Off

Can you use it in a sentence?
The two wizards sought to prove who was stronger by participating in a Wiz-Off.
