Grab your long swords and throwing axes and get ready to bury them in the skulls of your enemies. Revel in the glory of battle as you challenge a gauntlet of other fighters in hopes of rising victorious over them all. -The Thandar Post
The Hero Realms Fight Club (HRFC) is an event for true fighter enthusiasts. The field is full of max-level (currently Lvl 16) fighters across all the ancestry races. The focus is on each event being “One Big Brawl” so all the events are a group stage into a final round format. You will need to prove yourself against multiple tough opponents if you want to take the win home.
Season 3 Format:
In fighter mirror matches, the player with the higher max health typically has the advantage. This causes certain fighter builds/ancestry combinations to essentially be an auto loss save for extreme RNG. So to bring more parity across ancestries, season 3 will have a focus on max health uniformity to allow for more viable fighter builds to get their days in the spotlight. Each of the events in the season 3 series will have a max health cap or “Weight Class” that any fighter you use needs to qualify by being at/under the max.
Season 3 will have 6 total tournaments, 2 for each of the following weight classes.
- Featherweight (69 or Below Max HP)
- Middleweight (81 or Below Max HP)
- Heavyweight (No restriction)
Event Format:
- Each Season 3 event will have a listed “weight class” (ie a max health cap) that ALL of your character’s builds must qualify for.
- To allow for flexibility you are allowed to use a “Lighter” fighter build in any event (ie you can use a featherweight in a heavyweight event).
- You don’t have to use the same fighter vs every opponent.
- Play at level 16 with all production sets.
Match Format:
In the group stage, all matches are best-of-1 series and you play each opponent in your group once each.
- Either player sends a BLIND challenge.
- The winner reports the score.
- The remaining health scores for both players will be recorded (as the “Score”) at the end of each match and will be used for tiebreaking.
- See the image below for how to do that in the challonge results
- One player should have a positive amount of health (the winner) and one should be negative/zero (the loser)
- The number of people who advance to the final stage depends on how many participants there are. There will either be a top 8 or 16 final stage and I balance the advancements with this in mind. The exact number will be posted on the challonge bracket before the event starts.
In the final stage, all matches are best-of-3 series.
- Either player sends the first BLIND challenge.
- Once you win with a fighter you cannot use it again in the same match.
- The winner of the previous game sends the next NON-BLIND challenge (up to 2 times.)
- The winner reports the results via challonge.
- There are no HP scores for the final stage because ties are not possible.
- The top 4 finishers will receive an invite to the season 3 clash of champions at the end of the season.
