HRFC S2: The Lunar New Year Smackdown

A new lunar year is closing in, and it is time for the masses to gather from all across Thandar to participate in the most anticipated showdown of anyone who dares call themselves a fighter. They are still cleaning up the blood off the arena from Season 1 after Filtrophobe left the tallest pile of bodies ever assembled, even among the orc clans, and claimed the title of “Best in Clash.”

Season 1 was all about picking your fighter identity and sticking with it through seemingly endless waves of challengers. A lot of the season 1 matches were determined by chaotic factors so the competitors who could operate consistently under such conditions would be the ones to advance.

In Season 2, the focus is shifting to a more strategic play/counter-play style where you get to decide more things. Season 2 will be opening the call to arms to fighters of every race in Thandar (all 7 of them) and the strategic focus is on how deep your fighter “Bullpen” is. When you register, you can think of yourself as your own team captain of a bench full of up to 1 of every race of fighter that can be used as you wish. That is unless your opponent decides to ban an ancestry from you. Additionally, ancestry fighters who win a game lockout that ancestry as a choice for all the remaining games.

These rules will always be followed unless the event post (what you are reading now) says otherwise.
For this first event, there are no special rules.
Please read the rules through a few times and ask any questions you have in the Fight Club Discord channel.

1. You can find the challenge registration page here
   • A challonge account is required and is free to join if you don’t have one
2. When you register, make sure your name matches your Hero Realms user name.
   • You can select “Sign up with an alternate name” and put in your HR name if it doesn’t match your challonge user.
3. Make note of the start time and have your team of fighters ready for level 14 play before it starts
   • You will need at least 3, if not 4, level 14 ancestry fighters all comprised of different ancestries (including humans).
